Androscoggin River Watershed Council
The ARWC mission is to continuously improve environmental quality, encourage stewardship and promote healthy and prosperous communities in the Androscoggin Watershed. The Council stewards more than 50 access sites on the Androscoggin River Trail, conducts the Annual Source to Sea paddle (20 days), restores and protects brook trout habitat and creates a forum for many diverse interests in the watershed. Protecting, improving and marketing the water resources of the region provide recreational and economic opportunities for residents and visitors. |

Western Foothills Land Trust
Western Foothills Land Trust is dedicated to the conservation and protection of native ecosystems, farm and forestlands, watersheds, and scenic landscapes for the benefit of wild and human communities in western Maine. We protect over 7,000 acres in a ten-town service area and provide 32 miles of mixed use trails and recreational assets at six preserves. WFLT is part of Sebago Clean Waters (sebagocleanwaters.org) a regional collaboration protecting a forested Sebago Lake watershed for water quality. The Trust also partners with Healthy Oxford Hills and the Oxford Hills School District to support health, active lifestyles, and nature-based education in the Oxford Hills area. |
University of Maine Cooperative Extension Bryant Pond 4-H Camp & Learning Center
The University of Maine Cooperative Extension Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center is dedicated to training educators and youth in traditional outdoor skills – including hunting, fishing, guiding, wildlife, soil and water conservation – and promoting an ethic of conservation of Maine’s natural resources, and a passion for the outdoors. The organization serves roughly 4,000 youth annually and partners with schools across Oxford County as a resource in providing experiential learning opportunities and raising student engagement and aspirations for success. |
